Roulette is one of the most popular betting house games these days. According to the majority of historians, roulette was produced in the 1600’s by a French math wizzard. The game has a traditional charm and elegance; we are used to viewing high-rolling gamblers dressed up in tuxedos spinning the night away. The roulette wheel is an interesting gadget and knowing the components is certainly the first step in discovering the game.

The actual wheel will be the part of the apparatus that’s moveable and spins. The table is also divided into areas: black and red with conversely numbered spaces from one to 36. The spaces also have one zero and in the American version of the casino game, a ‘00′ spot. Also included in the Roulette wheel will be the little marble ball that bounces around as the wheel is spun.

As you start wagering on the roulette wheel, you will be given the option to either place an inside or an outside bet. An inside bet is a bet on a number or numbers running from 1 to 36 or ‘0′ or "00". An outside bet can be a bet on portions of one third of the possible numbers to come up, excluding zero and 00. Because the odds ratio is much greater with an outside wager, the payouts are also greater.

Typically, winning an outside wager or wager results in a payout of 2-to-1. For instance, if you were to bet 1 dollar on an outside wager and win, you would succeed two dollars from the spin of the Roulette wheel.
